The President of the National Chamber of Ready-Made Clothing Traders, Mohsen Ben Sassi, expects that between 1700 and 1750 shops will participate in the Winter Sale of 2025. The chamber is looking forward to discounts that include new items for 2025.

Ben Sassi called on shop owners to participate actively and offer discount deals.

The Winter Sale of 2025 includes a wide range of consumer products, from clothing and shoes to household appliances, and lasts for approximately 6 weeks. It coincides with significant periods, including Ramadan, which begins at the start of March, and preparations for Eid al-Fitr.

Ben Sassi highlighted that discounts offered by shop owners should not be less than 20% of the product price before the start of the sale season. He emphasized that the chamber also recommends that discounts should include new items.

In response to consumer concerns about not receiving genuine discounts, Ben Sassi stressed that the chamber, in coordination with the Ministry of Trade, has been monitoring complaints related to false advertising, but has not received any information in this regard.

He encouraged consumers, if they notice price manipulation, to contact the Ministry of Trade's hotline, which will take the necessary measures. The chamber disavows such practices and works to ensure that discounts are real, contributing to the reduction of high prices.

Ben Sassi also noted that, in terms of regional distribution, Greater Tunis tops the list of participating shops in the 2025 Winter Sale, followed by Sousse, Sfax, and Nabeul. He pointed out that shop owners in several other inland governorates, such as Gabes and Beja, have become interested in the sale season.
