
The National Research Institute of Astronomy in Egypt announced on Thursday, March 6, 2025, that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale occurred in the Gulf of Aqaba, eastern Egypt.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 131 kilometers north of the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, in the South Sinai Governorate.
The institute added that citizens felt the tremor, while no reports of casualties or property damage have been received so far.
