Local authorities announced that a collision between two buses carrying tourists occurred on Monday on a busy road in Barcelona, injuring about fifty people, including four seriously injured. Albert Batlle, Deputy Mayor of Barcelona, told reporters, "63 people have been treated." He added, "There are four seriously injured, one of whom is a minor." He explained that one of the buses was stationary when the second bus collided with it from behind. Earlier, paramedics had announced on the platform X that they "treated 34 injured people, four of whom were in critical condition." One of the seriously injured was freed after being "trapped" in one of the buses and was taken to the hospital. Photos published by eyewitnesses on social media show a white and green bus that had collided with the rear of a white bus on the avenue where several ambulances were deployed.
