France stated on Wednesday that Gaza should not be under the control of a "third party," following statements by US President Donald Trump that the United States should control the Palestinian territory.
France emphasized its opposition to "any forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza," noting that the forced displacement of Gaza residents would be a serious violation of international law.
It added that the forced displacement of Gaza's residents would constitute an attack on the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinians and destabilize the region.
France pointed out that Gaza's future should not be under the control of a third party but within the framework of a future state under the auspices of the Palestinian Authority.
