The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) is presenting an initiative to establish a center for Arabic calligraphy and manuscripts during its Executive Council meeting held today, Wednesday, according to the organization's Director-General, Salem bin Mohammad Al-Malik.

The ISESCO Director-General explained in a statement to the Tunis Afrique Presse Agency that the establishment of a center for Arabic calligraphy and manuscripts reflects the interest in Arabic calligraphy and manuscripts in Arab heritage. The organization's interest in creating this center aligns with Tunisia's desire to establish the Iqra Center for Arabic Calligraphy.

He pointed out that the organization will explore other initiatives, including the establishment of another center for poetry and literature, showing great care for the heritage enjoyed by the Islamic world, and is keen to strengthen close cooperation between the organization and its 53 member states.

The Executive Council meeting held within the framework of the 45th session of ISESCO, dedicated to exploring new and innovative sources of financial engineering outside of member countries' contributions, will address the organization's activity report for the period from 2020 to 2024.

The Executive Council meeting of the organization is attended by the organization's leaders, Executive Office members, and the Executive Committee secretaries, in addition to the participation of the Association of Arab Economists.

It is worth noting that the third consultative meeting held yesterday, Tuesday, in Tunisia witnessed active participation from experts, specialists, and high-level delegations from the Ministries of Education, Culture, and the presence of the Association of Arab Economists.
