The "A" Digestive Surgery team at Rabta Hospital, led by Dr. Montassar Kassim, has achieved a breakthrough in the treatment of complex abdominal cancers using the advanced "CHIP" technique, which combines precise surgery with heated intra-abdominal chemotherapy.
According to a statement released yesterday by the Ministry of Health, this technique is the only one of its kind in North Africa. It offers new hope to patients with previously hard-to-treat conditions and strengthens Tunisia's position in the field of precision cancer surgery.
