US President Donald Trump emphasized that his proposed plan to control the Gaza Strip and relocate its population of about 2.4 million people to neighboring countries is "just an idea." In an interview conducted on Friday, Trump revealed that the leaders of Jordan and Egypt rejected the plan, considering it unfair to displace Palestinians against their will. Trump told the "Brian Kilmeade Show" on Fox News Radio: "I was somewhat surprised by their response, but that's what they did," adding that the United States provides the two countries with "billions of dollars annually" in aid. Trump added, "My plan is the solution. I believe this plan will really work, but I am not imposing it. I will only recommend it."
