Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan firmly rejected today, Monday, the United States' plans to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and resettle them, instead calling on the Israeli occupation to rebuild the sector that suffered massive destruction. Erdogan said in a press conference in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, "From our point of view, proposals aimed at relocating Palestinians from the land they have lived on for thousands of years will not be taken seriously." He added, "No one has the ability to cause a second catastrophe for the Palestinian people, and they will never have this ability." Erdogan stressed that instead of seeking a new place for the people of Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should be held accountable for the damage he caused during the military operation against Hamas in Gaza.
