Hassana Jeballah: "Community Companies Are an Economic Option Contributing to Social Stability"

post

The State Secretary to the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training responsible for community companies, Hassana Jeballah, stated that "community companies are an economic option based on local and regional initiatives that rely on both economic feasibility and social benefit, especially on the values of solidarity, cooperation, and participatory work." She added that "they also contribute to creating opportunities for the professional integration of young people to achieve social stability and comprehensive and equitable development."

Hassana Jeballah pointed out while supervising a meeting to boost the pace of establishing community companies at the headquarters of the Gafsa governorate today, Saturday, that the program for establishing community companies worked on creating wealth based on voluntary and collective initiatives originating from local and regional needs and specificities, and establishing balanced development with positive social and environmental impact.

She explained that the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training will launch an awareness campaign to introduce community companies and their possible investment niches, and will provide an idea about the tax incentives and advantages allocated to them, as well as introduce decree No. 15 and presidential decree No. 498. She emphasized that there is a vision for all ministries to work together to overcome the real estate and foundational obstacles that hinder the process of establishing community companies through creating a unified window to facilitate and unify the administrative procedures related to the establishment of community companies.

She also noted that her visit to the Gafsa governorate specifically aims to address the administrative issues raised locally to accelerate the pace of establishing community companies, which contributes to creating a new developmental fabric based on collective initiative and social benefit by establishing projects that align with the region's specificities in the fourth district.

On the occasion, the State Secretary handed out 11 support grants of 800 dinars each for a full year to structured community companies meeting the establishment conditions, and issued three financing notifications through the Tunisian Solidarity Bank for three companies with a total value of approximately 752 thousand dinars. It is worth noting that the number of community companies established in the Gafsa governorate has reached 29 community companies distributed between regional and local community companies in various fields, including service, agricultural, and industrial sectors.
