The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (General Directorate of Scientific Research) announced in a statement published on its website the opening of applications for the Scientific Excellence Promotion Program for the year 2025. The ministry stated that the Scientific Excellence Promotion Program is open to all scientific disciplines and targets research competencies with distinguished scientific careers in their fields of expertise, in order to create a dynamic and competitive environment that promotes scientific excellence. The participation conditions, according to the ministry, are that the applicant must belong to the rank of university professor or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience by the closing date for applications, and must be assisted by two postdoctoral researchers. The ministry has set March 31, 2025, as the deadline for accepting paper applications as well as online applications.
