The value of circulating banknotes and coins reached 23 billion dinars, as of February 7, 2025, representing an increase of 7.8% compared to the same period in 2024 (21.3 billion dinars), according to the latest monetary indicators published by the Central Bank of Tunisia. Regarding the total refinancing volume, it decreased by 13%, from 15.3 billion dinars in February 2024 to 13.3 billion dinars as of February 7, 2025. On the other hand, total interbank transactions increased to 3.1 billion dinars on the same date, compared to 2.1 billion dinars a year earlier, an increase of 49.4%. The average interest rate in the money market stabilized in recent days at 7.99%. It is worth noting that the average interest rate in the money market remained at 7.99% in January 2025, compared to 7.98% in January 2024.
