Yesterday, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, a mission was concluded with a Romanian delegation headed by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth, and Social Protection of Romania, Cristian Vasile Petă, along with some officials of the ministry and relevant structures. They discussed areas of cooperation and its prospects.
In this context, a meeting was held between the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Riadh Choued, and the Ambassador of Romania to Tunisia, Valenton Ciprian, within the framework of activating the cooperation protocol between Tunisia and Romania, signed between the Ministry of Employment and the Romanian Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth, and Social Protection on December 8, 2023, in the fields of employment and vocational training, according to the ministry's statement on its Facebook page.
The Ministry of Employment issued a statement announcing that, after presenting the mission's outcomes, it was agreed to start coordinating between the two countries regarding available job opportunities, including specializations, economic sectors, and required skills. They explored the possibility of allocating a separate quota for Tunisian competencies according to the needs of the Romanian labor market within the framework of international employment opportunities, drawing on similar experiences.
Projects for twinning between the Tunisian and Romanian employment agencies were prepared to coordinate cooperation between them, enhance and develop experiences, and projects for twinning between vocational training centers in Tunisia and Romania with similar specializations to develop skills and benefit from the Romanian experience in this field. Additionally, a joint Tunisian-Romanian objectives contract was formulated, covering all agreed-upon aspects, to be signed between the two parties as soon as possible.
