The European Union announced on Thursday humanitarian aid worth €120 million for Gaza, following the announcement of a ceasefire on Wednesday between Hamas and the Israeli occupation.
A spokeswoman for the European Commission said at a press conference in Brussels that this aid aims to address the "catastrophic situation" in Gaza.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) reached an agreement yesterday, Wednesday, with the Israeli occupation to cease fire in Gaza and exchange Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners, paving the way for the end of the 15-month-long aggression on Gaza.
The two parties reached a ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the release of prisoners following a meeting between the Qatari Prime Minister and Hamas negotiators and Israeli negotiators separately in his office.
