The deficit for the entire year of 2024 increased by 10.8 percent, reaching 19 billion dinars, compared to 17 billion dinars in 2023, according to indicators published by the National Institute of Statistics on Monday, regarding foreign trade at current prices as of December 2024. The same indicators showed that the trade balance deficit, excluding the energy sector, drops to approximately 8 billion dinars.
