President of the Republic Emphasizes the Need to Break Away from "Old Legislation"

President Kais Saied, during his meeting yesterday afternoon at the Government Palace in Kasbah with Prime Minister Kamel El-Madouri, emphasized the "need to break away from the 'old legislation' that the people have revolted against."

The meeting, according to a video posted on the official page of the Presidency of the Republic, addressed the issue of ending subcontracting, reviewing several legal codes, including the Labor Code.

The President affirmed that stability for the people and economic institutions will only be achieved through justice, stating that "legal texts remain necessary, but the ultimate goal is justice."

In this context, Saied called on "honorable judges to play their role in achieving justice," which he said "will leave its palaces once politics enters those palaces."

The President also met with Ministers of Justice Leila Jaffal, Finance Sihem Nemsia Boughediri, and Social Affairs Issam Al-Ahmar at the Government Palace.

During a tour of the old city streets, the President met with several citizens, shop owners, and then walked to the city center on Habib Bourguiba Avenue, where he met with more citizens and listened to their concerns. He assured them that "the determination is firm and the work continues around the clock to meet the legitimate expectations of the Tunisian people as soon as possible."
