Resumption of International Flights at Damascus Airport

The aviation authorities in Syria announced the resumption of international flights at Damascus International Airport, starting this morning, Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

The Air Traffic Information Department in Damascus mentioned yesterday, Monday, that Damascus Airport may begin regular international flight services starting at 08:00 local time on January 7.

The department stated that "the restrictions imposed on flight services, which required obtaining special permits from the aviation authorities in the country, will be lifted starting from the specified time."

The head of the Syrian Civil Aviation and Air Transport Authority, Ashhad Al-Saleebi, announced last Saturday that Damascus International Airport would start operating international flights starting from Tuesday.
