The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Al-Nafiti, received today, Thursday, at the ministry's headquarters, Kalab Fundonga, the special envoy of the President of the Republic of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, as part of his visit to Tunisia, carrying a message addressed to the President of the Republic from his Zambian counterpart.
The minister welcomed the special envoy of the Zambian president, praising the deep and strong relations that bind Tunisia and Zambia, and affirming the commitment to further support cooperation between the two countries in various economic, commercial, investment, and educational fields, leveraging their human, natural, and developmental potentials.
He also emphasized the importance of benefiting from the African Union mechanisms and the advantages provided by the two countries' accession to the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).
The meeting was an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on the shared responsibility of maintaining and supporting these African institutions, as well as to review and discuss a range of current regional and international issues of mutual interest.
